Canva does not list Microsoft Publisher .pub as a supported import format, but it does accept PDF and PowerPoint files.
Choose the right Canva-ready format
Choose PDF when preserving the original page appearance is the priority. Choose PowerPoint when you want a better starting point for moving text, images, and other common elements inside Canva.
For important files, keep both: the preserved PDF provides the visual reference, while the redesigned PowerPoint provides the editable working version.
Expect some elements to need review
Custom fonts, WordArt, pattern fills, mail merges, and linked content may not transfer perfectly between Publisher, PowerPoint, and Canva. Compare the editable version with the preserved PDF before printing or publishing it.
Move a full Publisher library to Canva
A bulk conversion is more practical when a team has years of Publisher templates. Upload folders or ZIP archives, retain recognizable filenames, and use the conversion report to identify files that deserve closer review.
